Hi, I’m Leonard.

I'm from a town in the northwest of Ireland called Ballina (IO54JC)

I was big into CB in the 90's and got back into it in 2018,

I availed of the down time during the pandemic to study for the HAREC exam.

Thanks to the tutors from The National Short Wave Listeners Club I finally got over the line in October 2022.

I had my first QSO that evening with my cousin Joe EI3IX on 2m, the first of many.

As I’m relatively new to all this, I’m not sure where the hobby will bring me.

I’m enjoying HF and VHF so far and have started collecting “Worked All Ireland Squares”

My WAI Square is Mayo G21

I am a member of a number of clubs in the Area

Mayo Radio Experimenters Network, The Donegal Amateur Radio club, The Mayo VHF Group and am the founding member of 5th Mayo Scout Radio Club The aim of this club is to promote Radio in the youth.
