I got my license in March 2023 so quite new to the hobby. But, I used to be a quite keen SWL and Utility DXer back in the 1980s. I live on a farm approx. 50 kms north of Oslo, the capital of Norway with my wife.

I am using an Yaesu FTDX 10 transceiver and a DX Commander Signature 12.4 vertical multiband antenna for 40 - 10 meter bands, but on the higher bands I now use a Hexbeam (EA Antenna) for 20 - 6. It is mounted on a crank-up mast that will get it about 10 m. above ground. A tower-project is ongoing...

I have an Acom 1000 amplifier covering the 80-10 m bands (commercial version for 3.5 - 30MHz). It is a manual tuner, but once you get the hang of it it tunes up quickly.
