I have been interested in radio since the early 1980's when CB radio became legal here in the U.K,I was very much interested in contacting people worldwide via the radio. In 2006 I took my exam to operate on Ham Radio Bands which I enjoyed and now make contacts worldwide via phone mode & digital modes of FT8 & FT4.
I am a Homebase & Mobile Station my Home QTH is in the county of Kent, England for the last 4 years , previously I lived in Berkshire, U.K for 40+years where I shall be returning in the near future.
The Radio's are a Kenwood 480-SAT which I use at my home QTH which is linked to a Hustler 6-BTV Vertical Antenna which works very well here by the sea , and I have a Yaesu FT857-D & a Yaesu FT-7800 for working mobile/portable operations.
